Well there is alot of commotion this year which many big name schools already having one loss at this point in the season.  Looks like a 3 way battle for the #1 between Florida, Alabama and Texas.  My pick is Florida and Texas in the BCS with Florida winning another National Championship.  Hard to beat the Gator and Tim Tebow.

The Phils have a 2-1 series lead and look like they are headed for a showdown with their old pennant nemesis the Dodgers.  The Dodgers are will rested after their sweep and will be ready for the World Series Champions.  Which ever team from the NL makes it to the series better watch out.  The Yankees mean business.

Looks like Manny and Dodgers will be moving on to the next round after taking the first two at home against the Cardinals.  There are in good position and just need one more against the Cardinals in St. Louis.  You just cannot make an error on a fly ball with two outs in the 9th inning in the playoffs and not have it come back to hurt you.  Now the Cardinals are in a 0-2 hole.  But expect the Cardinals to come out swinging in St. Louis.

How the heck did that happen?  Favre is off to his usual fast start in the early season but did not expect beating the Packers.  Could Favre win one more Super Bowl and then walk away a champion like John Elway?  Nah, but expect the Vikings to be in the playoffs this year if only to lose in the first round.

Well here comes the first test of the year for Mr. Indecisive.  Can he beat the Packers?  Aaron Rodgers is well established now as the Packers quarterback and so this will be a true test.  Favre has experience but the Vikings are not a quick score threat and are a ball control time consuming offense.  Look for the Packers to mix it up and take an early lead.  Expect it to be close at the half but that the Packers will take control in the second half and pull away.  Packers 24 - Vikings 17.

OK, we talked about the NFC over the past three weeks.  So now let's look at the top NFL teams in the AFC.....  Alright, back to the NFC and home of the SuperBowl Champion for 2010.  Great game this week Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers on Monday night.  Is Favre really this good or is the Minnesota offense carrying him.  Did Green Bay make a mistake?  In this head to head the experience lies with Favre but Green Bay is the better team and should win this easily.  Green Bay 24 - Minnesota 10.

The Eagles easily handled the Kansas City Chiefs and are now back on track at 2-1.  They need to be with the Giants 3-0 and Cowboys 2-1.  It is early in the season to say this, but it is true, the Redskins are at 1-2 and will remain the the second tier of nfl teams until they get an experienced quarterback.

Back to the Eagles and quarterbacks, Michael Vick played but was not noticeable.  He is in great shape but is not used to the game time speed of the action and is not used to working with his teammates.  It was a good pick up for the Eagles as insurance but will take Vick several more weeks before he is game day ready as a quarterback and will only be effective for a quarter or half.  McNabb will heal and Kolb seems to be holding down the fort for now and Garcia is in the wings.  Look for Garcia to get released here soon.  I predict Vick will stay in Philly next year as he learns this offense and that Kolb will be released unless he shows more consistency.  But he needs reps and he is now getting them.  Who knows?  McNabb could retire after the Eagles win the Superbowl this year and this becomes Vick's team with Kolb as his back up.   Can't wait for the next Eagles/Giants match up.

OK, so the Giants pulled it out against the Cowboys and are now 2-0.  It was a close game and the rematch in NY will be all Cowboys.  Romo is passing for 300 yards now and the defense will continue to improve and expect the Cowboys to run off at least 3 straight wins.  The Panthers will be the first to go down as the Cowboys rebound and get their first home win of the season.

Surprised the Eagles were handled by the Saints, but Drew Brees is for real and Kolb is not.  Kolb is a good solid NFL caliber quarterback but is not a guy that will lead a team to the playoffs.  With McNabb, the game would be higher scoring and an Eagle victory.  Expect Kolb to get the start this Sunday against the Chiefs at Home.  With the Chiefs' struggles this season thus far, Kolb will lead the team to a fourth quarter lead but I would not be surprised to see Vick or Garcia step in for a few series.  If Kolb gets off to a shaky start, he will most likely get to play the half but would have to get the hook.  You cannot let a Vick and Garcia sit down and watch the game get away from you when both are experienced, healthy and available.

The Redskins pulled it out but can't afford to go to the wire every week.  Too many good teams have the ability to score in a hurry. Even though they play the Lions next, they are playing in Detroit and the Lions are playing hard this year. I am picking the upset.  Lions by 10.

Eagles 24 Chiefs 10

Cowboys 31 Panthers 17

Lions 27 Redskins 23

Looks like the Yankees are the team to beat in the AFC East as the Boston Redsox are left scrambling for the wild card spot.  So who wins the pennant?  Look for the Yankees and Angels to meet with the Yankess taking the pennant in 6 games.

The 2009 season has gotten underway and already the NFC East is establishing itself as the dominant conference once again.  The Giants, Eagles and Cowboys will be fighting for the division title and playoff spots, while Washington will try to secure a first round pick after missing the playoffs yet again this season.  Eli Manning is his usual self, not flashy or dominating, but still finding a way to win by making fewer mistakes than the opponent.  The Eagles have the best back up Quarterback in the NFL and can give Donovan McNabb the time he needs to heal as he leads the Eagles to the NFC Championship game this year and another Super Bowl appearance.  With a dominant defense and potent offense, this is the Eagle's year to win it all.  The Cowboys are playoff bound again with Tony Romo off to his best start in years in the Post - Terrell Owens era.  Over 300 yards passing, the Cowboys will set offense records this year but still fall short to the Eagles.  Looking forward to what Week 2 will bring.

NO at PHI - Eagles by 17

STL at WAS - Redskins by 7

NYG at DAL - Cowboys by 7
